I considered a fold up rolling stand but I don't use the saw with the stand all the time and didn't like the idea of the size of the stand folded up. It comes with quick release mounts you bolt to the saw so you can pop the saw on and off the stand in a second and use the saw with out the stand, or to store it away. I did add some sold wings I made out of some 1x8 and 1x4 select pine that connect to the saw with a typical door hinge that I just pop the pin out off and a carriage bolt and wing nut on the far left and right. I bought the DeWalt heavy duty saw horse style stand and have used the heck out of it and couldn't be happier.

But the Ridgid is less than half the price, and I think gives you 90+% of the functionality, so I felt like it was the best value. If money was no object I'd have gotten the Bosch Gravity stand since it seems to have pretty universally good reviews. Kinda defeats my purpose of having a stand, which is to make it easy to move or load into my truck. And also storing them separately at home. Which means carrying a big, heavy saw on its own, then carrying a pretty heavy stand on its own in a separate trip. It has no wheels, so you have to carry it and set it up wherever you're working. I previously had the DeWalt XW723 stand others showed above, and it worked well in use, but I found it pretty useless in terms of portability. The posts do have up/down adjustment at the ends so you can 'account' for the sag depending on how much weight you have on them, so they certainly aren't useless. The support posts I would agree with others aren't the most sturdy, but for something sliding/telescoping you can't expect it to hold up 6圆 or something heavy. Mine has the big wheels and it rolls well over any terrain. Folded up against a wall it doesn't take up a ton of room (although it's a big saw, so it is what it is). I have a 12' DeWalt slider that's pretty big and bulky, and I keep it attached to the MSUV all the time.
